In reply to Trisha. Trisha, I was disappointed about that at first but once I tried them, I love how soft they look on the lids. I think it would have bothered me more if this had been a colorful palette, but this is a neutral one and the matte shades, as Sleek states, are meant to create a subtle effect for the day and that it does really well. It keeps its promises but I understand not every one will like it.
