After receiving an invitation from the lovely Anastasiya, founder and aesthetician at Ellora Skincare, to try the treatment, I made my way to Tunbridge Wells one cold January afternoon.

What’s The Bioptic Eye Contour Treatment?
As soon as I arrived at the clinic, I knew I was in good hands. Anastasiya’s passion for skincare shines out of her every pore.
She sat me down, made me a cup of tea, and we had a nice chat about skincare (she knows what she’s talking about!) and the Bioptic Eye Contour Treatment.
Lasting 45 minutes, the 6-step system uses a blend of peptides, antioxidants, and hand massage to stimulate collagen production, improve microcirculation, and repair the eye area. The results? Brighter, younger-looking skin that makes you look fresh and awake.
Let’s break it down step by step, shall we?
Step 1: Bi-Phase Makeup Remover And Soothing Lotion
Good skincare always starts with a clean canvas. As soon as I lied down on the bed, Anastasiya used the Bioptic Bi-Phase Makeup Remover to take off my makeup.
Then, she slathered on the Bioptic E230 Soothing Lotion For Eyezone. It’s a soothing concoction that calms down redness and irritation. Plus, it has its fair share of antioxidants to fight off premature wrinkles.
Step 2: Repair Concentrate Fluid
Now that we’ve cleansed skin and removed all the impurities that could stand in the way, the treatment starts with a bang.
Anastasiya applied the Repair Concentrate Fluid, a lightweight emulsion that promises to target all kinds of eye problems: Jojoba oil and shea butter deeply moisturise skin, vitamin E fights the free radicals that give you wrinkles, and chamomile soothes inflammation (one of the main causes of premature aging).
It’s the perfect base for everything that comes next.

Step 3: Micro-Collagen Lifting
No skincare treatment is complete without an infusion of collagen. It’s the protein that keeps your skin firm. Without it, your skin starts to sag and wrinkles. Ugh.
You lose about 1% every year after you turn 21. Until you hit menopause. Then, its natural production hits rock bottom. The older you get, the more your skin needs your help to add collagen back in.
The next step in the treatment helps with this. Bioptic E229 Micro-Collagen Lifting gel uses collagen fragments small enough to penetrate skin to signal to cells they need to up its production.
Plus, the treatment uses a mix of amino acids, like glycine, that help skin repair itself. In other words, you’re giving your skin the building blocks it needs to rebuild collagen and repair damage.

Step 4: Bags Reducer Mask
Now the antiaging part’s out of the way, the treatment starts focusing on problems specific to the eye area, like undereye bags and dark circles.
Talking of undereye bags, what causes them? Water retention, fat retention, or both. Most eye treatments only target fat retention, so they never solve the problem completely.
Bioptic E231 Bags Reducer Mask, on the other hand, uses Redulite, a plant complex with a diuretic action that helps drain water and eliminate the fatty molecules that have infiltrated the undereye area.
FYI, Redulite is becoming very popular to treat cellulite, too. Unfortunately, it’s so new, it’s not very well studied yet. You have to trust the manufacturer or try it yourself (I’m being the guinea pig here, so you won’t have to 🙂 ).
Anastasiya gently massaged the mask on my eye area and then we chatted for a few minutes as we let it do its job. For best results, you need to leave it on for about 15 minutes.
Step 5: Anti-Dark Circles Fluid
I admit I was sceptical about this part. I know that skincare treatments can help with wrinkles and puffy eyes, but dark circles?! Those are much harder to treat, especially when they’re caused by leaky bloody vessels.
Here’s how it happens: weak vessels allow blood to leak out, forming a purplish hue underneath your skin. When microcirculation is up to speed, the extra blood is swept away before the discolouration gets too noticeable. But when it slows down, your body can’t get rid of the blood in time. Cue horrible dark circles that make you look tired all the time.
Bioptic E354 Anti-Dark Circles Fluid uses Haloxyl to fight dark circles in 3 ways. Haloxyl is a “lego” ingredient made up of:
- Hydroxysuccinimide: Infra-orbital shadows are caused by the accumulation of blood and the colour pigments its degradation leaves behind. Hydroxysuccinamide activates its natural elimination process.
- Palmitoyl Oligopeptide: A blend of fatty acid palmitic acid with several amino acids that boosts collagen production.
- Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7: Made up of 4 amino acids, it helps reduce inflammation, one of the main causes of wrinkles.
Haloxyl is a new ingredient, so most of the research on it comes from the manufacturer. It’s promising, but take it with a pinch of salt, anyway.
P.S. This treatment only addresses dark circles caused by leaky blood vessels. If yours are the result of a poor night sleep, get some rest!

Step 6: Twin-Patch Mask For Eye Zone
All too soon (I was sooo enjoying the eye massage 🙂 ), it was time for the last step of the treatment. The Twin-Patch Mask For Eye Zone is a quick fix for signs of fatigue, like undereye bags.
Packed with Redulite to drain bags, ginkgo biloba to soothe skin, and moisturising ingredients to plump up the eye area, it instantly makes you look fresh and awake.
Needless to say, you need to leave the patches on for a few minutes. After you remove them, massage in any excess.
And just like that, the treatment is at an end…
Bioptic Eye Contour Treatment Results
I throughly enjoyed the Bioptic Eye Contour Treatment. Anastasiya put on some relaxing music and started massaging the products on my eye area.
The massage had another aim: it stimulates blood circulation to speed up the delivery of oxygen and nutrients your to the skin cells that badly need them. Plus, it was the most relaxing thing ever. I almost fell asleep a couple of times.
But does the treatment work? I couldn’t tell straight away. Straight afterwards, my eye area just felt… heavy. The eye area is very thin and there’s only so much product it can absorb quickly.
Anastasiya assured me that was normal and that I would start to see results within the next couple of days. Some of the ingredients, like jojoba oil, work straight away. But anything that boosts collagen etc can take a few weeks.
A couple of days later, I could already see a difference: my eyes were still puffy, but the dark circles were less obvious. Plus, skin was smoother too.
Fast forward a month later and people are still complementing me on how good my skin is. Since doing the treatment, I didn’t change anything else in my skincare routine, by the way.
Yet, the whole area looks fresher, smoother, and most importantly, brighter. I still have a few crow’s feet, and I do get some puffiness if I don’t get a good night’s sleep, but the dark circles have definitely improved.

didnt you say before topical collagen can not penetrate?
Jeff, collagen itself is too big to penetrate skin. Hydrolyzed collagen is chopped off into tiny pieces that can penetrate skin, but it’s unlikely they can get involved in the skin’s collagen framework to influence it. So I still stand by my opinion that collagen in topical skincare is just a moisturiser. But this treatment doesn’t use collagen alone. My guess is the peptides did most of the work. Peptides are tricky because most of the research on them comes from the manufacturer, but when people use them they usually see results. Will have to wait until the science catches up to have a proper verdict. I honestly didn’t expect this treatment to work so well, but I didn’t make any other changes in my skin/diet/skincare routine, so there’s obviously something here!
