5 best lip balms with spf

You think finding a good sunscreen is hard? Try looking for a lip balm with SPF.

If you’re lucky, you’ll find one or two in your fave beauty store come summer. Cos that’s when we all rememeber that, oops, we need SPF on the lips as well. *shakes head*

To add insult to injury, not all lip balms with SPF are up to the job. Sometimes, the SPF is too low or covers only UVB rays. Like, UVA rays are safe?! *shakes head again*

If you find a winner, stock up, ladies! Get enough to last you the whole year. UV rays don’t discriminate – winter or summer, they’ll get you.

Start with the ones below. Imo, they’re the best lip balms with SPF out there:

Best SPF Lip Balm For Children And Sensitive Lips: Badger Lip Balm Stick SPF 15 Unscented ($3.49)

Ok, the SPF is a little low but hear me out: Badger Lip Balm Stick, SPF 15, Unscented has 8% uncoated, non-nano zinc oxide, the best UV filter out there. This white mineral protects your lips, on its own, from the entire UV range. Plus, it’s so gentle, it doesn’t irritate even children and sensitive skin. The catch? It leaves a white cast on the lips. Just put lipstick on top and you’ll be fine. And did I mention, the blend of cocoa butter, Shea butter and olive oil leaves skin super soft for the entire day.

Best SPF Lip Balm For Antiaging: Coola Liplux SPF 30 Original ($12.00)

Coola Liplux SPF 30 Original does double duty: it protects your lips from the sun while fighting wrinkles. Let’s start with the sun protection. It uses avobenzone, octinoxate, octisalate and octocrylene to protect your skin from UV harm. The last one, octocrylene, also makes it water-resistant. Plus, lots of natural oils to moisturize your lips. These oils are also loaded with antioxidants so they destroy free radicals before they give you wrinkles.
