What’s In Emile Cordon Cashmere-On Lip Pot?
CASTOR OIL TO MOISTURISE LIPS
The formula is pretty standard. The base is made of waxes that give the lip balm its shape – WITHOUT the stickiness.
The key ingredient is Castor Oil. This oil is made of 90% ricinoleic acid, a powerful moisturizer with skin soothing properties. It keeps lips soft and kissable, treats rough patches, and calms down inflammations.
It’s not groundbreaking, but why reinvent the wheel if it works?

Fragrance
Rose petals on a bed of tea leaves sprinkled with champagne.
It’s sweet, feminine and subtle. Emile Cordon enlisted the help of a New York perfumer to work on the scent, so you know it’s good.
Emile Cordon did to lip care what Haus of Gloi did to body care. It got rid of all the usual, boring vanilla and cherry scents and replaced them with truly unique fragrances.
I don’t think I can go back to a cherry chapstick now.
How To Use It
Apply it with your hands every time your lips need some extra TLC and hydration.
Performance & Personal Opinion
Disclaimer: my lips are in pretty good condition atm.
Emile Cordon Cashmere-On Lip Balm made sure they stayed that way. Soft. Smooth. Kissable.
I don’t even have to apply it every two hours, like I used to with chapsticks. I’d say I use it about 4 times a day, so it keeps my lips well-hydrated for quite a while.
It also gives them a subtle pink tint and a dewy shine. I like the finish very much. It’s like my-lips-but-better.
Best of all? This little pot is a multitasker. I also use it on my cuticles and on the rough patches on my hands (it protects skin).

Luxury lovers.
Who Is This NOT For?
If you just want a lip balm that works and don’t care about all the extra bells and whistles (scent, packaging, etc), you’ll find it too expensive.
Packaging
Look at it. Just look at it. How pretty is that pot? The glass is sturdy, the pot has a retro feel that I really dig, and the cap! It’s plastic, but looks like it could be gold.
I love the crown detail on the pot. Like all royals, Emile Cordon has its own motto, too. I don’t know if you can see it on the cap, but it says: “A Kiss Full Of Luxe and Charm”.
